Anyone can post a good photo of a mountain. We built Thach because the gap between the photo and the arrival is where every disappointing trip lives. So before a stay joins the collection, a curator drives out, walks the last mile, sleeps a night, and writes down what it's actually like — trade-offs and all.

We visit, in person

A curator inspects the property against a fixed standard — road, privacy, heating, water, signal, safety — and photographs the exact unit you'd book. No stock shots, no wide-angle tricks.

We write the trade-offs

Remote, rustic, steep, host-present — none of these are good or bad. We say plainly who each stay is for, and who should choose something else. Precision is the premium.

We stand behind it

Every claim carries a verified date and a scope. Conditions shift with the season, so we re-check — and if something differs when you arrive, we want to hear it.

The real state of the last mile — tar, gravel, or a track — and exactly which vehicle and weather it needs. The line that saves a ruined arrival.

Whether you share walls with the host family, and precisely which spaces, entrances, and terraces are yours alone.

How the place is actually heated, and how cold it honestly gets at dawn in the depth of winter.
📶Signal
Which networks work, tested on site, and whether the Wi-Fi holds a video call or only your messages.
🍽Meals
What's included, what's on request, and how far the nearest food is when the kitchen is closed.
⚡Power & water
How reliable the grid is, what backs it up during a cut, and whether hot water is a sure thing.

a curator sleeps in every stay before it's listed. You can't verify a bed from a doorway.
