Past the Sangla–Chitkul–Kalpa circuit, villages like Lippa, Asrang and Ropa mix dry mountain forest with Buddhist and Hindu tradition and centuries of traditional architecture. Some of this belt sits close to sensitive border areas, so permit rules and what we can publish depend on the exact village and, in some cases, on nationality. We’re researching case by case.
