Daranghati’s cedar and oak forest is one of the last strongholds of the western tragopan, Himachal’s state bird, alongside musk deer and Himalayan tahr. Entry into the sanctuary itself needs forest department permission — so we’re not interested in listing anything inside it. We want a legal gateway stay and a naturalist-led forest walk instead.

We’ve researched the access, the setting, and what’s already there — but no Thach curator has visited in person. We only verify and list a stay once someone has walked the road, checked it against our standard, and put their name to it. That visit hasn’t happened here yet.
